Sainte-Croix / Les Rasses is located on a sheltered sun terrace (1200m) in the vastness of the Jura landscape in the Lake Geneva Region. In 1796, Geneva watchmaker Antoine Favre invented the music box. From 1811 to the end of the 19th century, Sainte-Croix developed into the world center for music box manufacturers and nickelodeons. The production of these works of art was carried out here to perfection. Today, two museums present these melodious handicrafts: the CIMA Museum for Music Boxes and Nickelodeons in Sainte-Croix and the Baud Museum in nearby L'Auberson show unique collections.
