Bourg-St-Pierre, the last village before Italy, saw thousands of pilgrims and various armies pass by - including those of Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte. You'll also discover a few remnants of times long gone, including one of the oldest church towers in Switzerland (1000 years old), Bourg-St-Pierre lies in the mountains at 1632 metres above sea level, in wild, snow-covered landscapes far from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
