The Renaissance building, erected in 1528 by the Görlitz master builder Wendel Roskopf, which is entered through a richly decorated sandstone portal, still has important parts of the historical furnishings with valuable Gothic vaults and magnificently painted wooden beam ceilings from the Baroque period and thus an unmistakable, pleasant atmosphere. In 1998, the Tuchmacher, which consisted of four connected buildings, was converted into a hotel and carefully renovated.
