Our picturesque gem AquaQuell Bad Pilzweg is located in Fürstenzell, the heart of the hilly Rottal valley in Lower Bavaria, also affectionately called the "Bavarian Tuscany", only about 15 minutes by car from the three-river city of Passau. The property "Pilligsweg" was first mentioned in 1277. Even the last Bavarian king knew about the healing power of the high-quality sulfur water and enjoyed it regularly. In 1829 the VIKTORIAQUELLE was officially recognized as a state healing spring by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior. Descendants of the legendary healer Johannes Schroth - known for the internationally recognized Schroth cure - ran the Kurhaus until around 2002. After a few changes of tenants and extensive renovation measures, the house has been under the management of the Brunert family since 2021. Guests from near and far, seminar groups, families and those looking for relaxation open. The wellness area is available to all hotel guests free of charge. There are two swimming pools filled with sulfur water (a slightly cooler one with approx. 26-29 degrees and a slightly warmer one with approx. 31-34 degrees, depending on the season), a Finnish sauna (over 80 degrees), a bio sauna (55 degrees), a graduation tower and a steam bath. In the two relaxation rooms you can relax wonderfully. The adjoining 15,000 square meter park with old trees invites you to linger and dream. The hotel and the adjoining guest house (https://dasfuerstenzell.de) offer space for around 60 people. In the comfortable one, two and family rooms as well as the three fully equipped apartments, every guest will find what they need for a successful break. Depending on the season, cultural events take place in the winter garden, on the terrace or in the park. The range of excursion destinations in the surrounding area leaves little to be desired, as does the plentiful sports facilities. At least 10 golf courses can be reached in less than 20 minutes by car from here. Fürstenzell itself has a tennis court that can also be rented by the hour. Water sports activities can be booked through various providers in the Three Rivers City of Passau and in the vicinity of the Danube, Inn and Ilz. A unique natural spectacle is offered by the view of these three rivers that come together in the city of Passau. A stroll through the atmospheric little streets of the old town with its numerous cafés, pubs and baroque buildings is a wonderful place to unwind.
